Chinese shares open higher

Beijing, Dec 21 (IANS): Chinese stocks opened higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.14 per cent at 3,107.24 points.

The smaller Shenzhen Component index opened 0.2 per cent higher at 10,266.19 points, Xinhua news agency reported.

The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 0.28 per cent to open at 1,987.76 points.
