Shirva: Deanery Health Commission held Nurses Convention

Udupi, Nov 29: The Diocese Health Commission, in collaboration with Health Commission, Shirva deanery, organised a Nurses’ Get-together at St Francis Xavier’s Church, Mudarangadi here on Sunday, November 27.

The main purpose of the convention was to get together the nurses of the deanery, to orient them towards the pastoral plan 2025. To educated the Mission, vision, goals and objectives of health commission.

















Fr Lawrence D'Souza, CESU and former director of St Johns Medical college, Bangalore and Sr Aileen Mathias, former chief nursing officer of Fr Muller's hospital Mangalore, participated as resource persons and explained the Responsibilities of a Catholic Nurse and the pastoral plan 2025.

In his presidential message Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Udupi Diocese, explained the importance of a nurse, in helping build a healthy environment.

Fr Denis D’Sa director of Diocese Health Commission, Fr Stany Tauro dean of Shirva Deanery, Dr Edward Lobo, co-ordinator of Shirva Denary health commission, Wilma D’Sa, secretary were present for the get-together.

75 nurses including paramedics from Shirva deanery took an active part in the convention.
