Ballari: Bike plunges into canal - three of family die

Ballari, Nov 17: After a motor bike plunged into Tungabhadra right bank canal near Devasamudra and Krishnanagar camp near Kampli in the district on Tuesday November 15 evening, three members of a family perished.

V Ravi (32), who was a corporator of  12th ward in Kampli, his son, Santosh (7), and daughter, Lavanya (5), died in this unfortunate accident. Ravi's wife, Bhoolaxmi, had providential escape.

Ravi was going to his motor bike with family members to Toranagal when the accident happened. When the bike was moving on right bank canal road, the vehicle accidentally jumped into the canal. Bhoolaxmi luckily survived, while three others lost their lives.
