Udupi: Teacher dies after falling down from moving motorbike

Udupi, Nov 17: A teacher from the town, identified as Shobharani, who suffered serious injuries after falling from a motorbike, breathed her last at a hospital without responding to treatments provided to her. The incident occurred on Wednesday, November 16 evening.

Shobharani was seated on the pillion of a motorbike driven by her son, Sushan. The motorbike was moving on the road between Karavali Junction and Kadiyali in the town when Sushan suddenly applied brakes.  Both occupants of the bike fell to the road as a consequence, but Shobharani suffered serious injury to her head. She was admitted into KMC Hospital at Manipal.

Without responding to treatments, she passed away the same evening.
