Mauritian PM backs Modi on demonetisation

Panaji, Nov 16 (IANS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation move has found support from his Mauritian counterpart, who on Wednesday said it was the right thing for India even if it means "temporary difficulty".

"I am not an Indian, but what I personally think as a Prime Minister is that Modi has done the right thing. People will have some difficulty which will be temporary, but in the long run it will help the country's economy," Mauritian Prime Minister Anerood Jugnauth told the media on the sidelines of a private event organised by a pharmaceutical company in North Goa, located near state capital Panaji.

Jugnauth said Mauritius shares a "very special, extraordinary" relationship with India, one which it does not share with any other country.

"There are lots of investments from India in Mauritius and I pray it continues like this," he said.

    Money matters. I, each one of us, responsible for this present money matters of India. Time has come for each one of us to prove one's innocense in this matter."I am not corrupt" prove it to one's own conciense first. Politicians, government officers, policemen, soldiers, lawyers, judges, professors, teachers, money lenders, bankers, scientists, doctors, business men, religious, common people, so on and so forth, each one should prove that I am not corrupt in any way. I am a truly worthy citizen of India. I am not responsible in any way for the present situation of my country.
    How many years Mahatma Gandhi and others fought, fasted, imprisoned for the independence of India? How many sacrifised their lives? But what am I doing at this very present moment living as the citizen of India?
    Mother India is taking care of an anormas number of population. Am I taking care of my mother India? What is my sincere share for her development, progress, prosperity, so on and so forth? If I feel worthy then let me continue with greater vigor & spirit. But if I feel unworthy then let me make an about turn and become her loyal son & daughter. Or else let me quit my own dear loving mother India. Thank you and God bless each and every one of us.

    Try preaching this to the Indian Government.

    Two recent events despite the demonetizing efforts show how serious the government is:

    The Reddy's daughter wedding with a tage price running into hundreds or thousands crores rs. and
    Write-off of Malya's 7000 Crore Rs Loan by SBI

    The Government is busy robbing the poor and feeding the rich, that's how I see the whole circus.
