Say how you will deal with cash chaos: SC tells government

New Delhi, Nov 15 (IANS): The Supreme Court on Tuesday asked the Centre to explain the steps it has taken or will take to deal with the chaos outside banks and ATMs following the demonetisation move.

Observing that people should not suffer, Chief Justice T.S Thakur and Justice D.Y. Chandrachud, however, said they would not interfere with the government policy.

Seeking a reply from the government, the court fixed November 25 as the next date of hearing.

The government on November 8 spiked the 500 and 1,000 rupees notes in a bid to fight black money and corruption.
