Mangaluru, Nov 1: “Kannada is the official and most widely spoken language in Karnataka.Eminent writers in the Kannada language have contributed a lot to Kannada literature and have bagged the highest literary award, the Jnana Peetha Award.
Besides, we can communicate effectively all our feelings only through our mother tongue. We must know all the languages, but Kannada should be given more weighting,” said the chief guest Dr Vasudeva Belle, Kannada lecturer in Government Pre-university College, Bokkapatna on the occasion of Rajyotsava on Tuesday, November 1, at Vikas P U college.
Dr Ananth Prabhu, director of Edu Vikas Solutions, Prof Rajaram Rao T, correspondent, Mohana R - vice principal, Vidya Kamath, administrator, Shobha, Kannada lecturer, and Pradeep A, Kannada lecturer and program coordinator, were present on the dais.
Shravya was the master of ceremony, Nandini welcomed the gathering, and the vote of thanks was rendered by Pavan T V. Various competitions were held and winners were awarded.
