Bengaluru, Oct 20: Ending the uncertainty, Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker K B Koliwad has accepted resignation of senior Congress leader and former minister V Srinivas Prasad from the membership of the Assembly in Bengaluru on Thursday.
Prasad had submitted the resignation on Monday after he was dropped during the last Cabinet reshuffle.
The former Revenue Minister was elected to the Assembly from Nanjangud constituency in Mysuru district.
Leaders of both BJP and JD(S) have extended invitations to Prasad to join their parties.
However, Prasad has not yet decided as to which party to join or contest as an independent in the ensuing by-election as there is still one and half years left for the next round assembly elections in the State.
