Udupi, Oct 19: District BJP organized a protest against the administrative failure of state government and the murder of RSS activist Rudresh in Bengaluru.
Addressing the protesters, district BJP president Mattaru Rathnakara Hegde said, “In Kerala, the percentage of vote for BJP has increased to 25 percent. In order to stop the support to BJP, the communists are murdering the activist and supporters of Sangha and BJP.”
“Even the situation is not different in Karnataka. State government is supporting and creating such situations. Though it is the third day of murder of Rudresh who was killed brutally in Bengaluru, victims are not yet arrested. After the formation of Congress government, including Rudresh’s, there are 21 such cases which are not investigated properly.”
In his speech he mentioned the suicides of police officers who did not get any protection under this government.
“There is no proper sanctioning of funds to the district facing draught. We oppose the privatisation of Udupi district hospital. People of Udupi need development not the foolish statement from district-in-charge minister. BJP will follow Gandhian way to fight against this ‘sleeping’ government,” he added.
Former MLA K Raghupathi Bhat condemned the steps taken by Madhwaraj in tackling sand issue and the suicide of Chaitra.
“BJP will never let the people enter inside Udupi who want to lay siege of Sri Krishna Math,” he said.
District BJP secretary Suprasad shetty and state BJP executive member Shyama Kunder also shared same opinions against the state government.
Protesters formed human chain and raised slogans against the state government.
District BJP leader Yashpal Suvarna, Kutyaru Naveen Shetty, Prabhakara Poojary , Shreesh Nayak, Dinakara Babu, Kiran kumar, Members of Yuva Morcha BJP and many BJP activists and supporters took part in the protest.
