Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi
Udupi, 19 Oct:"BJP decided to protest against the murder of Bengaluru’s BJP activist Rudresh and the failure of the state government, on October 19 at Clock Tower here, by forming a human chain. The attack on BJP activists seems to be unending, and there is no protection to our activists. The state government is holding nearly Rs 450 crore, instead of releasing the subsidy to milk producers. Fishers suffer from the negligence of the government. Though the monsoon comes to an end, road construction has not yet begun" said the district BJP president, Mattaru Rathnakara Hegde, addressing the media on October 18.
Hegde further said that the investigation of Chaitra’s suicide case should be handed over to CID. The release of the post-mortem report must be quick. BJP will stand with Sri Krishna Math, Pejavara Shri and the support of the people of Udupi against those who have threatened to lay siege to Sri Krishna Math. He also said that many Muslim organisations are also in support of Pejavara Shri to fight this issue.
His straight hit at district in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj was about his statement regarding the food habits of Rama and Krishna. He knew that Madhwaraj is a non-vegetarian and has had meals with him. But he doubts that Madhwaraj ate alongside Rama and Krishna to claim that they were non-vegetarian. "He is supporting those who eat beef, indirectly," said Hedge.
Concluding the press meet, Hegde mentioned the statement of former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake regarding the improper distribution of homes to poor under the Ashraya Yojana scheme and the interest of the district in-charge minister in handling the sand issue, which showcases the complete failure of Pramod Madhwaraj.
District BJP secretary, Praveen Shetty, district BJP treasurer Ravi Amin, Nagara Yuva Morcha president Akshith Shetty, president of Zilla Panchayat, Dinakara Babu, Kuthyaru Naveen Shetty, Shankar Poojary Katapadi were present at the press meet.
