Mangaluru, Oct 15: The BJP Minority Morcha of the Mangaluru South constituency celebrated former president Dr Abdul Kalam's 85th birthday with the inmates of the White Doves Destitute Home, Mathadakani near Urwa on Saturday, 15 October.
The member of the morcha led by the president Gladwin D'Silva and founder of White Doves, Corine Rasquinha, paid floral tribute to the portrait of the former president.
Speaking on occasion the vice president of the morcha of Mangaluru South constituency, James D'souza said, "Corine is the Mother Theresa of Mangaluru. She extends a mother's love to the destitutes. I pray the almighty's blessings on her."
Speaking about the former president Abdul Kalam, he said,"Abdul Kalam was a visionary. His ideas and sayings are ideals to live by for all of us."
District vice president of the morcha Muthalik Belma, vice president of the south unit of the morcha Nazeer, secretary Rolson were present amongst other celebrants.
