Parrikar brushes aside queries on Goa RSS leader's accusations

Panaji, Sep 8 (IANS): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Wednesday brushed aside questions related to accusations made by rebel RSS leader Subhash Velingkar, who has accused him of "cheating" the electorate.

Asked to respond to the sacked Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader's accusations on the sidelines of a media event in Panaji, Parrikar said: "You ask him."

Velingkar, last week, had accused Parrikar of being behind his sacking as the state RSS chief. Velingkar has formed formed a parallel unit of the RSS in Goa.

The RSS leader has also criticized the local BJP's government's 'misgovernance' and failure to keep promises both under the rein of Parrikar as Chief Minister and under the current Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar.

He has also threatened to back a political unit, which Velingkar claimed "would defeat the BJP" in the upcoming state assembly polls.
