Berlin, Aug 26 (IANS): FC Schalke 04 has announced the signing of Algerian midfielder Nabil Bentaleb from Tottenham on loan and French midfielder Benjamin Stambouli from Paris Saint-Germain on a four-year contract.
The club got the option to make the 21-year-old Bentaleb's move permanent for 20 million euros ($22.6 million). He made only 11 appearances for Tottenham last season due to ankle and knee injuries, Xinhua news agency reported.
The 26-year-old Stambouli joined for a reported eight million euros. "Everything is settled with Tottenham. And everything is resolved with Paris," Schalke sporting director Christian Heidel said on Thursday.
Bentaleb and Stambouli were just the latest signing by Schalke under newly appointed Acoach Markus Weinzierl.
Others include Breel Embolo from Basel, Naldo from Wolfsburg, Coke from Sevilla and loan signing Abdul Rahman Baba from Chelsea.
