Munich, Aug 18 (IANS): German football champions Bayern Munich's midfielder Kingsley Coman has suffered an ankle injury.
He picked up the injury during Wednesday's training session, reports Xinhua.
He looks set to miss the opening weeks of the new Bundesliga season as the club confirmed on Wednesday he will be out "until further notice".
"He was lying there and was obviously in pain, which is never a good sign," Bayern captain Philipp Lahm said.
Bayern have not disclosed the exact date for the French international's return, but sections of German media expect him to be out for at least the next eight weeks.
