Panaji, Dec 3: The annual feast of St Francis Xavier or locally known as the feast of 'Goencho Saib'was celebrated with great faith and enthusiasm on Monday.
Thousands of devotees of all religions and castes assembled for the feast Mass in the courtyard of the Basilica of Bom Jesus Church in Old Goa.
Rev Valerian D'Souza, Bishop of Poona, led the Mass proccedings in the august presence of Goa Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao and other priests.
On the political side, those present included Goa chief minister Digambar Kamat and wife, transport ministerPandurang Madkaikar, PWD Minister Churchill Alemao and others.
