St Joesph’s Arch Inaugurated at Mira Road

Mumbai, Dec 3: The inauguration of the St Joseph’s Arch at the entrance of St Joseph’s Church, Mira Road was held here recently.


Steven Mendonca, deputy mayor, Mira - Bhayandar municipal body, Dr Dominic Charles Vaz (Provincial Karnataka and Goa Province) Fr Rudolf V D' Souza, Parish Priest, Dr Abraham Mathai, minister of state Minorieties Commission, Maxim Mathias managing director of Roshan Electricals Private Ltd, Little King Group of Hotels, Henbridge Hospitalities Company Pvt Ltd, Peter Almeida, general secretary - Mira Bhayandar municipal body, Fr Deepak, Fr Peter Rebello, Gilbert Baptist, Malaika Cooperative Credit Society, Sr. Serina Pereira, superior, Holy Cross Convent  Sebastian D' Souza, Helen D' Souza, Arvind Shetty and others  were present.

Leroy Santos compered the programme.

After a brief blessing ceremony the ribbon was cut, firecrackers busted and music blasted to make this arch known to whole of Mira Road.

    Congratulations! to St. Joseph's Parish and all those that attended the celebration. It is indeed an auspicious moment and Kudos to those that strove to bring this about!!! Next time , I visit Mumbai I'll make sure to visit that Church and area. I have some of my friends living there as well as in Bandra. The pictures shown were great and rekindles faith and pride.
