Mumbai, Aug 17 (IANS): The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday after opening on a slightly negative note, soon recovered and moved to positive region during the morning session of the trade.
The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 28,061.79 points touched a high of 28,097.21 points and a low of 28,024.36 points.
On Tuesday the Sensex closed at 28,064.61 points.
The Sensex is trading at 28,083.65 points, up by 19.04 points or 0.07 per cent.
On the other hand the broader 51-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 8,639.80 points after closing at 8,642.55 points on Tuesday.
The Nifty is trading at 8,640.10 points in the morning.
