India can decide stand on South China Sea: Wang

Panaji, Aug 12 (IANS): It is up to India to decide what position it wishes to take vis-a-vis the ongoing South China Sea row, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Friday.

Asked if China was seeking support from the Indian government on the issue, Wang said: "It is up to India to decide what position to take."

The Chinese minister is in Goa to review logistics and security arrangements ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to the state for the upcoming BRICS summit to be held in October.
