Panaji, Aug 12 (IANS): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will on Friday meet Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar to review the logistics and security arrangements for Chinese President Xi Jinping's proposed visit to the coastal state for the BRICS summit in October.
"He is here to review security. He will visit the spots where hotels are located, functions are (to be) held, the route, the arrangements done by the state, the situation here," Parsekar told IANS at the state secretariat late on Thursday.
"The Chinese President is coming and therefore they are meeting us to keep track of the preparation," the Chief Minister said.
Yi is also expected to meet Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi on Saturday.
