Mumbai, Nov 28 (mb): A suspected short circuit in a sub station disrupted services on the Central Railway's main line for over thirty minutes before the start of the morning peak hour in the early hours on Tuesday.
Smoke was emanating from the Vikhroli sub station at around 0600 hours forcing the authorities to switch off the electric supply on the section, a CR spokesperson said.
Services could only resume at 0635 hours, he said, adding the exact reason for the smoke is yet to be ascertained.
Central Railway suburban services were running 10 to 15 minutes behind schedule due to the disruption.
This is the second such instance in as many months. On October 4, services were disrupted for fifteen minutes following smoke from Mulund sub station.
