Nextbit's Robin rolls out update, 'ember' model

New Delhi, July 28 (IANS): San Francisco-based smartphone maker Nextbit on Thursday announced that its flagship "cloud first" Android device Robin will now be available in a limited "ember" colour.

Ember has a neutral, deep-black back with bright red end caps and it will be available on Flipkart for Rs 19,999 beginning next week in India.

The company has also rolled out videos and photos support in smart storage.

"Today, our beta testers will receive an update that adds video support. Just like with photos, old videos you took but do not watch can be archived to create more space on your Robin. Just like with photos, when a video is archived, a thumbnail remains on your local camera roll so you will never forget it, even if you never watch it," the company said in a statement.

Beta testing is open to all Robin users. If everything goes as planned, the company would roll out the August update to everyone.

The August update will also include Android's extensive July security updates as well as improved thermal tuning to keep the device running cooler.
