The dramatists are truly extroverts who are contributing for the thriving culture. Therefore, the financial support contributed by the organizations play a significant role in preserving the culture’, said Antony Sequeira, managing director, Arcadia Shares and Stock Brokers Private Ltd.
He was delivering the presidential address, during the simple ceremony held at K M P D School, located at Tulinje Road, Nallasopara, east, on Saturday November 17, as part of annual programme of Konkani Catholic Association Nallasopara, sponsored by St Francis De Sales church, Nallasopara to drive to mobilize funds for the studies and medical assistance of needy local poor students.
Virar Shankar Shetty, president, Federation of Hotel and Restaurant Association Maharastra, while presiding over the programme said that, Devdas Kapikad's drama troupe, has rendered exemplary contributions to Tulu stage. Their yeomen service was successful in instilling love for native Tulu, among the neo generation. Moreover, the troupe has cleansed the absurd spoken Tulu with its originality among the Tuluvas living outside the coastal district of Tulunad. They have revolutionized the Tulu drama, through their innovative plays every year. Hence, the Tulu stage has become a significant art, gained skill and expertise. The coastal people living in the metro are known to give importance for their native language and traditions without the distinction among the people, he opined.
