People like Kejriwal as he sensationalises issues: Goa CM

Panaji, July 1 (IANS): Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar on Friday criticised Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, saying people like him only because he "sensationalises" issues and added that the AAP founder-convenor was not his "ideal" by any standards.

"People like him because he sensationalises things. People keep waiting to see what bomb he explodes every day," the Goa Chief Minister told reporters, when he was asked to comment on Kejriwal's three-day visit to the poll-bound state, which ended on Thursday.

"Kejriwal doesn't have to do anything. All he has to do is lie. For one who appointed so many parliamentary secretaries, could he have saved the state's money? He should speak about that. Kejriwal is not our ideal," Parsekar said.

Asked to react to Kejriwal's claim that the Aam Aadmi Party will win 35 out of the 40 legislative assembly seats in the state polls in 2017, Parsekar said: "Thirty five seats? Yes, yes, he actually should have said 45 seats. Can he even name five assembly constituencies?"

Kejriwal visited Goa earlier this week and met a cross-section of people. He maintained that AAP would repeat in Goa its stunning electoral performance in Delhi by defeating both the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress.
