Jun 30 (TOI): Delhi chief minister and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal castigated Goa chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar over reinstatement of his brother-in-law Deepak Malvankar who was placed under suspension a few months ago after being caught red-handed while allegedly receiving bribe.
Malvankar was attached to Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), as a field officer.
Interacting with the youth in Ponda, North Goa, on Wednesday during his two day visit to the state, Kejriwal said, "What kind of governance you can expect?", referring to Malvankar's reinstatement. Questioning why no case of disproportionate asset was filed against him after the raiding party had allegedly found documents showing that he owns two bungalows, Kejriwal said, "It is a shame that we have such a chief minister in Goa".
If placed in similar situation, Kejriwal said he would have cut-off relations with such relatives allowing fair investigation.
