Bengaluru, June 20 (IANS): Expanding its footprint in the corporate wellness sector, Gympik Health Solutions on Monday announced its acquisition of fitness aggregator Oyofit.
"This acquisition is part of our strategy to expand the business of our corporate wellness solutions and become the leaders in this sector. Oyofit has established a strong presence in the corporate fitness category," said Gympik founder and CEO Amaresh Ojha, without revealing the value of acquisition.
Shivank Agarwal and Ruchik Garg founded Oyofit in September 2015, offering unique memberships to individuals and corporates including Jet Airways, RazorPay, HomeLane and others.
Ojha said Gympik's strong network of personal trainers and its capacity to deliver wellness solutions to the unique needs of employees will be complemented by Oyofit.
The acquisition will lead to Oyofit co-founders and core team joining Gympik while Oyofit cofounder Shivank Agarwal will be part of Gympik's leadership team.
Founded in December 2012 by Ojha, Gympik currently operates 9,000 fitness centres and has 6,000 personal trainers at its disposal in 20 cities.
