Mumbai, Jun 7 (IANS): Key Indian equity indices opened higher on Tuesday morning ahead of the Reserve Bank of India's bi-monthly monetary policy review.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 83.27 points or 0.31 per cent higher during the morning session.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 26.55 points or 0.32 per cent higher at 8,227.60 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 26,833.54 points, was trading at 26,860.72 points (at 9.16 a.m.) in the early session, higher 83.27 points or 0.31 per cent from the previous day's close at 26,777.45 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 26,871.18 points and a low of 26,829.53 points in the trade so far.
