Panaji, Nov 2 (MB): The counting for Mormugao Lok Sabha bypoll held on October 31 would take place on Saturday in Margao town of South Goa.
"The counting will start at 0800 hours. The result will be out by 1100 hours," election officials said.
The polling, which recorded a poor response of 36 per cent, has Congress and BJP in a straight fight. Goa Pradesh Congress Committee president Fransisco Sardinha has locked horns with BJP candidate Wilfred Mesquita for the constituency.
Two Independents - Jawahar Dias and Hamja Khan - are also in the fray.
Five Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) are assigned for the task of counting which wil be held in five different halls.
