Mumbai, Oct 30: Three unidentified men allegedly robbed a wine shop manager of Rs 11 lac in the wee hours on Monday.
Darshankumar Sharma (68) was returning home in his car after collecting the cash from three wine shops managed by him when the incident took place at suburban Khar, police said.
The trio had parked a car across the road forcing Sharma's driver Rayan Jha to stop his vehicle.
"The three men threw some chilli powder in Sharma's eyes and stabbed him once using a knife when he tried to prevent them from snatching the bag. Ultimately they succeeded and fled from the spot," a police officer said.
Sharma works for Shrichand Wardhasani who owns over ten wine shops and follows the same routine of collecting cash each night, they said.
