Star Plus to showcase 'Dance 2 Challenge 2016' on May 26

Dubai, May 20: For the first time in UAE, STAR Plus will be conducting a local hunt for dancing sensations to compete in the biggest celebrity dance show/competition - 'Dance 2 Challenge 2016' at Sheikh Rashid auditorium, Indian High School, here on May 26.



Dance 2 is not just a reality show – it is a magnificent dance extravaganza that will showcase the Star of Dance himself – Remo D’Souza. Only those who have the passion, determination and above all, the talent to perform will be selected by the celebrity captains and make it through the rigorous selection process. Remo has personified dance throughout his career and has been an inspiration to many dancers across the globe. To extend this opportunity of a lifetime to dancers in the UAE, the Dance 2 competition will be giving the winning entry a chance to audition for the Dance 2 main show, in Mumbai. The televised leg of this hit format show is scheduled to air on Star Plus later this year.

The grand finale will feature 15 of the best dancers from the UAE who have been selected from hundreds of hopefuls through a gruelling closed door audition held in the city. These 15 finalists have excelled across various dance forms such as hip hop, Indian classical, contemporary, etc across solo, duo and group categories, ensuring that the Dance 2 Challenge Grand Finale has a large variety of talent on display. The grand finale will be held on May 26 at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Indian High School, in the city from 8.00 pm onwards.

To judge the finale event, Star Plus has roped in celebrity dance sensation Punit Pathak who is also a team mentor on the on-air show Dance 2.
