Mumbai, May 16 (IANS): Key Indian equity indices on Monday morning opened higher following mixed global cues.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), was trading 42.17 points or 0.17 percent higher during the morning session.
The wider 51-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also trading 11.95 points or 0.15 percent higher at 7,826.85 points.
The Sensex of the BSE, which opened at 25,528.80 points, was trading at 25,531.74 points (at 9.16 a.m.) in the early session, higher 42.17 points or 0.17 percent from the previous day's close at 25,489.57 points.
The Sensex touched a high of 25,606.92 points and a low of 25,524.80 points in the trade so far.
