Muscat, May 15: Tulu movie fans in Muscat and Oman are gearing up for the first ever screening of the blockbuster Tulu movie ‘Chandi Kori’ during this weekend.

The Tulu movie will be screened at Stars Cinema, Ruwi, Muscat (Opposite Bank Sohar, CBD Area, Next to Al Maya Supermarket) on Friday, May 20 at 2.00 pm (gates open at 1.00 pm).

‘Chandi Kori’ is a 2015 Tulu film produced by Sharmila D Kapikad and Sachin S Uppinangady, directed by Devadas Kapikad, who also appears in a supporting role.

Arjun Kapikad and Karishma Amin star in lead roles, and Naveen D. Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Gopinath Bhat and Aravind Bolar feature in supporting roles. The film has successfully been screened and running for over 240 days to packed houses in Theatres in Mangalore and Udupi. The soundtrack of the film was composed by Devadas Kapikad and background score by Manikanth Kadri.

The film is a family entertainment movie packed with comedy and action and has won the Red FM Tulu Film Awards for 2016 for Best Hero, Best Heroine, Best Lyrics, Best Stunts and Best Editing. After being a huge success all over Karnataka, Mumbai and successful releases in Bahrain, Kuwait and the UK, is now being presented to Tulu movie buffs in Muscat, with an exclusive screening only for one show on May 20.

Tickets are available at Stars Cinema Theatre Box office and can be booked in advance from Saturday, May 14 onwards. (Advance booking timings 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and 2.30 pm to 10.00 pm).
