Mumbai, May 7 (Mumbai Mirror): A metropolitan magistrate's court in Andheri on Friday reserved its order on applications seeking an arrest warrant against Vijay Mallya. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has filed two cheque bouncing cases against Mallya's now-defunct Kingfisher Airlines. The cheques pertained to payment of over Rs 100 crore.
The AAI has also sought cancellation of permanent exemption from court appearance granted to Mallya, who left the country in March amid an outcry over his airline defaulting on repayment of over Rs 9,000 crore to banks.
Meanwhile, in fresh troubles for Mallya, a forensic audit has found possible "irregularities and mismanagement" in advances and investments made by Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers (MCFL) to his other group companies.
