ASUS launches budget smartphone at Rs.5,299 in India


New Delhi, April 25 (IANS): Taiwanese smartphone and notebook maker ASUS on Monday launched a Rs.5,299 3G-enabled budget smartphone with 4.5-inch display in India.

The Zenfone Go 4.5 2nd generation - ZB452KG varient will be available on e-tailers Flipkart, Snapdeal, Amazon, PayTM, Shopclues and at ASUS exclusive stores.

The device is available in two different camera specifications: 0.3 MP 5 MP (front and rear camera) priced at Rs.5,299 and 2 MP 8 MP (front and rear) priced at Rs. 5,699.

"The Zenfone Go 4.5 2nd generation embodies the ASUS spirit of providing luxury at an affordable price. The smartphone packs in high-end specifications in an aesthetically appeasing design," said Peter Chang, regional head (south Asia) at ASUS India, in a statement.

The device offers features like low-light mode, backlight (HDR) mode, zero-shutter lag and beautification modes for improved pictures.

Equipped with ASUSÂ’ “PixelMaster” technology, the smartphone offers 16 special camera modes to help users capture sharp and crystal-clear images. 

The device will be available in six colours - Glamour Red, Ceramic White, Yellow, Silver Blue, Gold and Silver.

The device runs on Android Lollipop 5.1, comes with a memory of 8GB and offers Micro SD card support up to 64 GB in addition to a 100 GB lifetime ASUS web storage.
