Chandigarh, April 14 (IANS): Coinciding with the harvest festival of Baisakhi, telecom major Airtel on Thursday announced the roll out of its Platinum 3G services across Punjab.
The service will be launched in Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar, Patiala, Ludhiana, Moga, Amritsar, Bathinda, Jalandhar, Phagwara, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur and Derabassi.
"Airtel Platinum 3G, which will be available on the efficient 900 MHz spectrum band, will offer world-class mobile experience to customers through significantly enhanced indoor coverage, faster data speeds and better voice clarity. It will help optimise the backend engagement between the network and mobile devices, thus allowing customers to enjoy extended battery life on their mobile devices," an Airtel spokesperson said here.
The combination of Airtel's Platinum 3G and 4G LTE services across Punjab will offer customers the widest high speed mobile data network coverage, the spokesperson added.
Airtel's high-speed 4G services, which are being offered using a combination of 1,800 MHz and 2,300 MHz technologies across Punjab, are currently available in over 50 towns across Punjab.
