It's official : Sreesanth joins BJP, to contest from Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 25 (Agencies) : The Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday fielded cricketer S Sreesanth as its candidate from Thiruvananthapuram for the upcoming Kerala elections to be held on May 16. Union Health Minister and BJP spokesperson J P Nadda, releasing a list of 51 candidates for upcoming Kerala Assembly elections, announced that the cricketer would contest in the upcoming assembly polls.

Earlier, Sreesanth’s family members had said that the cricketer received a call from top BJP leadership in Delhi requesting him to contest from Thrippunithura Assembly constituency. They also said Sreesanth is likely to meet BJP chief Amit Shah when he visits Kerala.

After being exonerated in the 2013 IPL spot fixing-case by a Delhi court last year, Sreesanth has been making forays in acting.

Sreesanth was banned for life by the Board of Control for Cricket in India after fixing allegations. He last played in the 2013 Indian Premier League. He was arrested on charge of match-fixing and was lodged in Tihar Jail in Delhi.

    What more you expect from BJP.
    The party leader has criminal record.
    The party leader has been in Jail.
    The PM speaks in Parliament that we are doing this and that to let people know that what you did not do in 60 years and we will do it one year.
    Means he is not doing it for the betterment of the country but he is doing it to take revenge for keeping BJP in opposition in the 60 years.
    The PM is not acknowledging the fact that the 60 years are the platforms that are used as on today for everything .Those platforms are the brain work of collective work of congress for all these years when India was a underdeveloped country.
    Congress ruled and become popular and congress collectively developed India from a Under developed economy to a Developing economy.
    2G and 3G are not scams but are the procedures all followed and Only BJP think that it is a scam. If it is a scam why the minister Raja did not take a Bail and wait till he get his name cleared and the cases dismissed.
    Now BJP has hired a Bookies Boy who waved a handkerchief while bowling, is going to wave the saffron flag and tell the bookies whether the ball is No ball or wide so the bookies at vote counting can take betting on vote or no vote.
