Mumbai: Ashwini Poojary campaigns for cleanliness through paintings

Mumbai, Mar 23: Ashwini Poojary Thonse has promoted the dream of the Indian prime minister, Narendra Modi towards cleanliness through her paintings at selected railway stations for the last two days.














The citizens are urged to maintain cleanliness at the campaign held under the leadership of Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal and Dwarkadas J Sanghvi Engineering College NSS unit. The paintings conveyed messages regarding vadapav, dabbawala, sealink, corruption, spitting in public places, ban on urinating in public, communal harmony, pleasant train travel, peaceful coexistence in churches, mosques, temples etc,
Tajmahal and Gateway of India. Nearly 50 ushers worked continuously for twenty hours cleaning and beautifying the walls and earned praises from thousands of people including travellers and art lovers.

Principal Dr Hari Vasudevan, programme coordinator Chandrashekar Beral and station manager Sagar Kulkarni helped. Ashwini Poojary is the daughter of Thonse Sanjiva Poojary and Vijaya Sanjiva, residents of Kurla east Jerimeri.
