Dubai, Mar 17: The Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club in the city held its inaugural function on Thursday March 10 at Coral Dubai Deira Hotel, here.

Arief Mohammed presented the welcome address to the audience, chief guest and other dignitaries. Mohammed Ali Uchil who inaugurated the event later addressed the gathering and put forward valuable suggestions for the development of this social club.

In his presidential speech, Ashraf Hassan Ali Bailoor explained about the vision, mission and objectives of the social club. The purpose of the social club is to develop the Indian expatriate community into a well-nourished section of society in the areas of social, sports and cultural activities. The event continued with cultural activities which included cultural songs and Daff programme under the direction of Abdul latheef and Akbar ali.

Finally Mohammed Shafi, manager of Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club extended the vote of thanks. He explained about the landmark achievements by the members, organizing committee efforts and commitment to CDA (community development authority, Government of Dubai ) giving them the opportunity to serve society in the name of Karnataka Sports and cultural club.

Many Indian organization representatives and prominent guests were present at the inaugural function. The function later concluded with delicious dinner.
