Dharamsala, March 8 (IANS): Riding high on a rousing campaign in the Asia Cup, the Bangladesh cricket team has reached the city of Dharamsala to play the World T20 tournament.
They will play against the Netherlands in their opening match of the first round on Wednesday, which is essentially a qualifying round for the Super 10 stage.
They reached the city late on Monday and have just a day in hand to hone their skills.
After losing the rain-hit Asia Cup final against India by eight wickets on Sunday, Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza had insisted the defeat would not dent the team.
In the first round, Mashrafe and his men have been pitted in Group A which also includes Ireland and Oman.
If they get through to the Super 10s, Bangladesh are set to move into Group 2 alongside India, Pakistan, Australia and New Zealand.
