Mumbai, Sep 24: The second annual general body meeting of Jayashreekrishna Parisara Premi Samiti was held at Peninsula Grand Hotel located at the suburban Sakinaka on Saturday September 22. The meeting was chaired by Samiti president Vishwanath U Mada. Samiti founder Thonse Jayakrishna A Shetty inaugurated the meeting by lighting the lamp.
“The relentless efforts of Samiti in the past seven years have paid off. Samiti has been successful in curbing the environmentalists’ opposition on hindering the development of Dakshina Kannada, which has enhanced self respect. As a result, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have been opened up for industrialization. Accordingly investments worth around Rs 2 lac crore would be invested in various projects across the districts. Hence this has indeed fulfilled Samiti’s chief objectives. Moreover, Samiti has been striving to provide employment opportunities to the youth from our district”, said Shetty.

Samiti vice-president Sanjeev Kanchan, Dharmapal U Devadiga, Felix A D’Souza, Sadanand D Nayak, honorary chief secretary Nithyanand D Kotian, honorary treasurer I R Shetty and other office- bearers were present on the dais.
Honorary secretary Rons Bantwal, P Dhananjay Shetty, G T Acharya, honorary secretaries Harish Kumar M Shetty, Thonse Sanjeev Poojary, Harry Sequeira Ferrar, ex-president B Subhash Shetty, founder member Dr Sanjeev Shetty, Ullurguttu Vaman Shetty and other members were present.
Honorary chief secretary Nithyanand D Kotian presented the annual report. Honorary treasurer I R Shetty presented the annual account. Bhaskar Suvarna led the prayers. Rons Bantwal proposed vote of thanks.
