Mid-Day

Mumbai, Sep 24: The city police and the personal security firm of actor Amitabh Bachchan are not taking chances with the security of the actor’s Juhu bungalows on the final immersion day.

More than 10 lakh people are expected to pass Jalsa and Prateeksha on their way to Juhu beach on Anantchaturdashi.

Jalsa is going to be barricaded. A check post is also likely to be set up outside.

Cops and security guards will form a human chain whenever the Bachchans’ cars enter and exit the bungalow during the immersion. Prateeksha will also be fortified.

A police source told MiD DAY that last year a mob outside the actor’s bungalow had mobbed Big B’s car. Juhu police chief Pradeep Shinde said, “We’ll be very cautious.”

Sarvan Salaria the MD of TRIG security services, which handles the security of the  bungalows, said, “Whenever there is a festival, we tighten the security leaving no possibility of a security breach.”
