Doha, Mar 6: Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association (KMCA) an affiliated Indian Cultural Center (ICC) association under the aegis of Embassy of India hosted its annual blood donation campaign on March 4 at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) blood donors unit.
The response by the donors and the well-wishers was overwhelming as many people took part in the drive which started from 8 mornings and ended at 1.30 pm. Around 250 people joined the noble cause which was a unique show organized by KMCA Qatar.
Up to 81 members donated blood after the routine checkups.
Dr Imran Ibrahim, hailing from Mangalore, Consultant Pediatric ICU at Hamad Medical Corporation addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance and benefits of donating the blood.
President of the forum, Niyaz Ahmed welcomed the gathering and thanked all the donors and guests who made this noble event a grand success.
Saquib Raza Khan vice president of the forum compered the event.
Arvind Patil, president ICBF, Divakar Poojaray, secretary ICC, M Ravi Shetty, president Tulu Koota Qatar, Madhu, president of Karnataka Sangha Qatar, Shuheb, president of SKMWA, Prakash Noronha, vice president, MCC, Navaneeth Shetty, president Bunts Qatar, Adbulla Mono, president, Hidaya Center – Qatar, Milan Arun and lot many prominent members from Indian Expatriate community joined the blood donation drive.
The event was coordinated by head of KMCA Special Needs, M Iqbal Manna and Muneer Sheikh.
