There is plenty to look forward to for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) side, who gave Sri Lanka a major scare yesterday. Had it not been for the brilliant bowling spells of Lasith Malinga and Nuwan Kulasekera, who knows what UAE might have done? They might have stringed together a set of expatriates but there is no shortage of desire and commitment by the side. Even in the World Cup, there was not a single game where the minnows got their backsides handed out to.

Bangladesh are still smarting from being thumped by India in the opening game. Importantly, it was a lesson learnt for the side in many ways. While playing a power packed side, there is no question of taking one’s foot off the accelerator. Bangladesh let advantage slip after getting three cheap wickets in the powerplay overs. They won’t be facing that stern a test today though.
