Mumbai, Feb 24: Jagajyothi Kalavranda in their annual programme held at Takur auditorium, Dombivli east on Sunday February 21 conferred Sushila Shetty Memorial Poetry Award to winner of poetry compilation competition, Anitha Poojary Taccode.



The award was presented in the presence of senior author, teacher Dr Vani Uchilkar, Karunakara B Shetty, Prabhakar L Shetty, Sathisha Alagoora, Vasantha Suvarna, Sanath Kumar Jain, Santhosh Shetty, Ashish Seetharam Shetty and Shekar Shetty.

Anitha Poojary hailing from Moodbidri, Takode has been writing stories, poems and articles in inland and Mumbai's leading newspapers. Many of her writings have won prizes and awards. Her stories and poems are broadcast in Mumbai and Mangaluru all India radio also.
