Abu Dhabi, Feb 23 (IANS/WAM): Yemeni Prime Minister and Vice President Khaled Bahah and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) secretary general Abdullatif Al Zayani discussed the political and security situation in Yemen, the media reported on Tuesday.
The two leaders on Monday discussed the Yemeni government's efforts to restore peace, stability and coordination with international humanitarian agencies on delivering aid to all the country's governorates.
Meanwhile, Babah chaired a meeting of a Yemeni consultative commission to discuss the developments. He highlighted the importance of intensifying political efforts and implementing the UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
"We need a different approach that fulfils the aspirations of all citizens," Bahah said.
The Yemeni government is working to find solutions to problems and establish security in a number of liberated governorates where extremist groups do not wish for stability for Yemen, Bahah added.
