Mumbai, Feb 18: The Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank Association Ltd, here, an association of cooperative banks at their 20th annual award distribution ceremony, awarded Model Cooperative Bank Ltd first prize for Best Bank among cooperative banks in the region in the category of deposits above Rs 500 crores.
The function was held on Thursday February 18 at Swatantryaveer Savarkar Smarak Sabagriha, Dadar west, and was attended by senior management and directors from cooperative banks. This award is another milestone for Model Cooperative Bank, which had recently received third prize for best bank among cooperative banks in the category of deposits between Rs 300 crore and Rs 1,500 crore from the Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks Association Ltd Mumbai as Financially Sound and Well Managed Bank (FSWM).
N S Vishwanathan, executive director, Reserve Bank of India presented the award to chairman, Albert W D’Souza, general manger and CEO, William L D’Souza and additional general manager Harold M Serrao.
The bank has its roots in the Mangalorean Catholic Cooperative Credit Society Ltd which was registered on April 26, 1916. The bank, which is celebrating 100 years of its foundation is proud to receive this
award in recognition of its excellent services. The bank is constantly riding the path of progress.
The chairman, Albert W D’Souza and Board of Directors have expressed their gratitude to all the shareholders, customers and well wishers.
