Grammys pay tribute to René Angélil

Los Angeles, Feb 16 (IANS): Singer Celine Dion's late husband René Angélil was honoured during Grammys' 'In Memoriam' reel.

During its annual 'In Memorial' reel, the Grammys decided to honour the late music manager by playing Dion's love ballad "My heart will go on" on Monday night here, reports people.com.

The Grammys' memorial segment was just the latest commemoration of Angélil, who died last month at the age of 73 after a year's long battle with cancer.

A week after his death, Angélil's family, friends and fans gathered in Montreal, where he was honoured at a public visitation and national funeral. Then, on February 3, his life was celebrated at a memorial service in Las Vegas.
