Chennai, Feb 12 (IANS): Actor Venkatesh is likely to star in the yet-untitled Telugu remake of Malayalam film "Two Countries", a source said.
Over the years, Venkatesh has starred in several remakes such as "Gharshana", "Masala", "Gopala Gopala" and "Drushyam".
"The Telugu remake rights have been acquired by producer Bandla Ganesh. The makers are keen to rope in Venkatesh and have already initiated talks with him," a source close to the producer told IANS.
Released last year, "Two Countries", about a man with immigration issues, turned out to be a blockbuster.
Directed by Shafi, the original featured Dileep and Mamta Mohandas in the lead roles.
Venkatesh is currently shooting for Telugu project "Babu Bangaram".
