Sonali Kulkarni excited about cameo on TV

Mumbai, Feb 10 (IANS): Actress Sonali Kulkarni will be seen in a cameo role in “Tamanna”, and she is looking forward to being a part of the show as she can relate to the story of a girl's endeavour to make her dreams come true.

The actress is returning to the small screen after her appearance in a stunt-based reality show “Khatron Ke Khiladi” in 2008. She will be seen as a lawyer in the Star Plus show, which is about a woman cricket aspirant.

“When they approached me for 'Tamanna', the concept of the show attracted me and it was an instant 'yes'. 'Tamanna' is a relatable story about a woman and her dreams. I will be portraying a cameo of a lawyer counsellor in the show. The character is positive, charming and a winner," Sonali said in a statement.

The actress started shooting for the show on Wednesday.

“I am extremely excited to be a part of 'Tamanna'. Abhinay and Ajinkya Deo are my dear friends. I am closely associated to Ramesh Deo Productions and 'Tamanna' is their dream project. I am more than glad to be a guest of their dreams,” she said.

Featuring Anuja Sathe as the protagonist Dharaa Solanki, "Tamanna" is a finite series which challenges the mentality that a woman's dreams come with an expiry date.

It is the story of Dharaa's passion for cricket and her journey through the different phases of her life. It also features Ketki Dave, Kiran Karmarkar, Harsh Chhaya and Vishal Gandhi among others.
