Mumbai, Feb 10 (IANS): The deposition of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist-turned-approver David Coleman Headley was adjourned till Thursday following some technical snags in videoconferencing from a US jail, an official said here on Wednesday.
"Headley's deposition was expected to continue today (Wednesday). Unfortunately, due to some technical problems on the American side, they could not link with us. Now the matter has been adjourned till tomorrow (Thursday)," Special Public Prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam told mediapersons.
The US side has also agreed to sit 90 minutes extra at the next hearing on Thursday and after the technical glitches are resolved Headley's deposition can continue in the morning from 7 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. before Special TADA Court Judge G.A. Sanap.
"There was no technical problem from our side... Tomorrow's hearing may even go beyond 1.30 p.m. depending on the convenience of the American side. We are hopeful of pursuing our case from Thursday," Nikam said.
Headley, one of the key conspirators in the November 26-28, 2008 Mumbai terror attacks deposed for nearly 10 hours spread across Monday and Tuesday wherein he made several startling revelations.
