Mangaluru, Feb 6: The one day national conference on exploring innovative management practices to achieve Make In India was inaugurated by Deepak Ishwarbai Amin, director, Central Board, State Bank of India on February 5 at MSNM Besant Institute of PG Management Studies.
In his inaugural address he encouraged the youth to become more a job provider than a job seeker. Manel Annappa Nayak, vice president, Womens National Education Society was the guest of honour and Kudupi Jagadish Shenoy presided over the inaugural function. On this special occasion, dignitaries had released the edited book of conference proceedings exploring innovative management practices to achieve Make In India.
After the inaugural the first technical session Make in India and Innovative Management practices in Banking and Finance with special reference to venture capital began. Darius Pandole, partner New Slik route, Mumbai was the key resource person. He highlighted the sources of venture capital for start up businesses with perceived long-term growth perspective of the firms.
In the second technical session on Make in India and innovative management practices in marketing management, Dr Gururaj Kidiyoor, professor and dean academics TAPMI, Manipal was the key resource person. He explored the best marketing strategies for Indian firms to grow at international level under the shade of Make In India.
In the third technical session Make in India and innovative management practices in IT and manufacturing Hari Om Rai was the key resource person. He is the chairman and managing director, Lava International Ltd, New Delhi and co-chairman of the task force of Government of India for make in India campaign . He spoke on bringing manufacturing to India and creating India as a global manufacturing hub under Make in India campaign.
The validictory address from M D Mallya, former chairman and managing director of Bank of Baroda was delivered.
This technical session was followed by paper presentation by the delegates in the 4 parallel sessions. 50 papers are presented according to the various sub themes of the conference. More than 100 one day national conferences on exploring innovative management practices to Achieve Make In India will be introduced.
